Participants of the Research Working Group «Innovations in the Banking Sector, Its Financial Stability and Prudential Regulation» Took Part at the IX International Conference ITQM 2022

December 9-10, 2022, saw The Ninth International Conference on Information Technology and Quantitative Management (ITQM 2022), during which the participants of the research working group «Innovations in the Banking Sector, Its Financial Stability and Prudential Regulation» arranged a «Special Session 03: Modeling Financial and Economic Sustainability for Decision Making and Governance».

During the special session, 9 reports were discussed.
ITQM 2022 is one of a series of conferences, organized by the International Academy of Information Technology and Quantitative Management (IAITQM).
The International Conference is a global forum for the exchange of research results and case studies integrating the latest information technologies and quantitative management techniques. It explores how the use of information technology to improve quantitative management practices and how the development of management tools can change the development of information technology. This conference is dedicated to exploring the innovations, controversies and challenges that our scientific community is facing today. This is an opportunity for us to think about where we are today and where we are going.
The First International Conference ITQM 2013 was held in Suzhou (China) and Chengdu (China). The theme of ITQM 2022 is «Global Green Digital Economy: Challenges and Development».
Financial decisions are a whole show in modern economic processes. To be more effective, they need the support of data and models. Thus, the purpose of the special session is focused on collecting big data as well as using it to develop empirical models, mainly related to sustainability and ESG approaches.

During the conference, participants discussed various topics:

  • Building Big Data information systems in the banking and financial markets;
  • Creation of risk management models for making financial decisions and ensuring financial and economic sustainability;
  • Formation of a rating system in Business and Finance;Using credit ratings and their models as a measure of creditworthiness;
  • ESG ratings and their modeling;
  • Consider efficiency models to compare the utility of banks and financial companies;
  • Evolution of the functions of financial and banking ecosystems;
  • The impact of banking innovations on the development of banking products and services, assessment of the level of competitiveness;
  • Assessment of the results of financial digitalization of the financial sector and banks based on business informatization;
  • Financial stability assessment and prudential regulation, including ESG sustainability management: ESG systemic risks and their management;
  • The COVID pandemic and systemic risks.
