International Expertise to enhance Management Accounting courses at School of Finance

Together with international experts, we aim to enhance our accounting courses with practical application and strategic business skills. During the 2nd module in 2021, we were supported by Dr. Nadia Gulko (Associate Professor of Accounting at LIBS, the University of Lincoln, UK, and the Global CIMA Teaching Excellence Award winner 2020) in the English-taught Management Accounting course, which is led by PhD Anna Vysotskaya (Associate Professor, School of Finance, HSE). Dr Nadia Gulko gave a series of guest lectures for a large group of undegraduate students at HSE. Interested in developing strategic management accounting thinking among our students, Nadia has also joined us for two interactive business games organised in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). Nadia’s contribution to this course helped to enhance the students’ understanding of the practical aspects of management accounting with a high level of engagement and participation in the sessions.
