The School of Finance with the Financial Innovation and Risk Management Center Took Part in the V Russian Economic Congress

The School of Finance with the Financial Innovation and Risk Management Center took an active part in the V Russian Economic Congress (REC2023), which was held from September 11 to 15, 2023 in Yekaterinburg.

Professor Alexander Karminsky acted as coordinator of the thematic conference "Banks, money and financial markets" within the framework of REC2023. The School of Finance faculty members took an active part in REC2023:

Associate Professor Yury Dranev  together with Mikhail Miriakov and Elena Ochirova made a report on the topic “The Impact of ESG Ratings on the Attractiveness of Exchange-Traded Investment Funds for Investors.” within the session "ESG transformation and ratings". 

Associate Professor Sergei Grishunin delivered a speech on the topic: "Risk Controlling: from Early Warning Systems to Stress Testing." within the session "Financial Risks and Risk Controlling"

Postgraduate student Ion Frekautan together with Irina Ivashkovskaya and Egor Pashkov made a report on the topic: “The Russian Green Bond Market: a Response to the Challenges of the Geopolitical Crisis.” within the session "ESG Transformation and Ratings".

Postgraduate student Vadim Stankevich together with A. Zenkov, E. Vorobyov and M. Betina made a report within the session "Theory of Money and Digital Currencies" on the topic: "The Impact of the Digital Ruble Introduction on the Balance Sheet Structure, Liquidity and Income of Commercial Banks", which was noted as the best report in the session.

Lecturer Andrey Egorov made a report within the session of young scientists "Banks, Money and Financial Markets" on the topic "Financial Consequences of Introducing Financial Innovations", which was noted as the best report of the session.

A number of articles have been prepared based on the reports and will be sent for publication to journals.
