Evgeniia Kiseleva Received a Doctoral Degree at the University of Perugia

Evgeniia Kiseleva received a status of Doctor of Philosophy in the field of economics assigned by University of Perugia – one of the oldest universities in Italy and alma mater of accounting.

The thesis was presented on the topic: “Value Relevance of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) issues: Strategic Impact and Disclosure Implications”. It explored, whether it pays to be good for a corporation worldwide and in Russian market. The results satisfy the wish of the society: being responsible in front of the public is beneficial, as it brings some points to market price of the stocks. However, it is generally so if others adhere to ethical norms poorly.

Evgeniia Kiseleva specializes in research on sustainable value, sustainable governance, ESG ratings and the connection between ESG scores and financial performance. Starting from February 2023, she will also become become a research fellow at the Corporate Finance Center.
