4th International workshop of the Higher School of Economics School of Finance “Systemic risk in the financial sector” will be held online via Zoom on November 26 (November 27th if necessary), 2021.
The HSE School of Finance, a leading Russian university department in the field of financial education and research, will host the event, which seeks to unite researchers and practitioners, working on financial stability issues. Researchers from European and top Russian universities as well as the representatives of the regulator, Central Bank of Russia, will present their papers and act as discussants.
The key speaker Sylvain Benoit – associate professor from Université Paris-Dauphine, PSL Research University, whose papers were published in "Review of Finance", "Journal of Financial Intermediation", "International Economics", will present his report "Systemic Risk: An Overview".
The range of topics to be discussed at the workshop includes, but is not limited to:
- systemic risk measurement;
- financial contagion;
- interconnectedness of financial institutions;
- macroprudential policy toolkit and its efficiency;
- interaction between macroprudential and monetary policies;
- credit cycles and bubbles;
- COVID-19 impact on systemic risks.
All the workshop participants will be able to publish their papers in a series of monographs Advanced Studies in Emerging Markets Finance for the publishing company Springer.
The paper title and abstract (2-3 pages) must be submitted in electronic form to the conference organizing committee no later than October 11th.
