About the Department

The joint department with B1 Group was established in September 2008 under the auspices of HSE University’s Faculty of Economic Sciences. Our main idea behind creating the department is to deliver high-quality theoretical training and, beyond that, to share our knowledge, hands-on experience and professional expertise with students.

This collaboration supports our shared ambition to drive forward the educational agenda by leveraging B1’s highly skilled audit and advisory practitioners to deliver training. The department is an integral part of HSE School of Finance.

Classes are conducted by B1 practice leaders, who are always open to your suggestions and ideas and eager to help you unlock your creative potential and navigate the complexities of real-world economics. This will equip you with the knowledge and skills to not only complete your internship and secure employment, but also to succeed in your future career.

Every year, the department offers a variety of learning activities, such as training sessions, master classes, workshops, elective courses, and more, all aligned with B1’s core areas of focus—assurance, advisory, technology, transaction support, tax, law and business support.

The Department's main focus is on:

• Delivering training sessions, master classes, workshops, and elective courses designed and taught by subject matter practitioners from across B1 business lines
• Providing hands-on support for students during their internships
• Preparing students for entry into the professional world
