Aleksei Bogomolov Took Part in the VII International Forum “Ecology”

On 14-15 April 2026 VII International Forum “Ecology” was held in Moscow.

The International Forum “Ecology” is one of mainstream Russian social and business platforms dealing with environment protection and sustainable development. This year the program comprised 26 sessions, strategic discussions, round tables and workshops dedicated to the topic of Environmental Welfare in Action.

The Forum brought together over 1,300 representatives of state and local authorities, business and academic community, non-governmental organizations who were engaged in the agenda that offered 26 sessions, strategic discussions, round tables and practice-oriented workshops sharing to the common topic of Environmental Welfare in Action.

The Head of the Climate Finance course offered by School of Finance of the Faculty of Economic Sciences at HSE University, director for development of partnership programs at RSHB Asset Management, an expert of the Working Group on Financial Services of the BRICS Business Council Aleksei Bogomolov participated in the Forum. He made a speech at the Round Table dedicated to Acclimatization and Implementation of the National Climate Policy. The speech emphasized the importance of developing responsible investment and responsible investment products. In the course of the discussion Aleksei underscored the significance of involving retail investors in this field and granting them, alongside with institutional investors, tax benefits related to green instruments taking into account convergence of interests between the government and investors. It is of great importance for development of the responsible investment sector, investment funds and asset managers dealing with such products and investors.

Aleksei Bogomolov also made a presentation of the Climate Finance course and the Climate Finance Project Laboratory created by School of Finance in 2024-2025 and launched in 2026 as a part of master's programmes Corporate Finance and Master of Business Analytics. As a result, the students have an opportunity to obtain unique knowledge on the climate agenda and practical application of climate-related financing and investment from leading experts, complete practical assignments and write their theses. The Climate Finance course is the first one developed by a higher educational establishment in the Russian Federation, CIS countries and Eastern Europe. Thus, the leadership of School of Finance is confirmed in the sphere of training responsible investors and Russian specialists who will combat global warming and negative implications of climate change.
